Professor Noel Fitzpatrick

World-leading orthopaedic-neuro veterinary surgeon and triple #1 Sunday Times bestselling author

World-leading orthopaedic-neuro veterinary surgeon, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick is recognised globally for his innovative solutions to complex orthopaedic and neurological problems in companion animals.

Noel Fitzpatrick is the director and chief surgeon at Fitzpatrick Referrals, one of the UK’s pre-eminent and largest independent small animal orthopaedic and neuro-surgical facilities in Surrey, which Noel founded in 2005. Noel has shown an unprecedented commitment to academic research from private veterinary practice, having been an author on dozens of peer-reviewed scientific papers over the past 10 years, establishing evidence for surgical techniques and implants and sharing key insights in disease epidemiology.

In 2014 Noel became a household name when Channel 4 started showcasing his work in The Supervet. The programme explores the importance of the human-animal bond in society and our moral responsibility for animals in the context of advanced medical and surgical care.

Noel has extended his creative skill set beyond the operating theatre to include establishing himself as a thought-provoking author, publishing three memoirs, all of which were instant Sunday Times #1 bestsellers. Following his memoirs, Noel published Keira & Me, a beautifully illustrated story capturing the relationship Noel shared with his border terrier companion Keira. Noel has also published children’s fiction and non-fiction, including titles Vetman and his Bionic Animal Clan and The Super Pets.

His most recent title, Dogs and Their Humans was a Sunday Times bestseller, celebrating the bond of love that exists between humans and dogs.
