Cambridge English literature graduate, model, and mother of three, Gwyneth has been a storyteller all her life. In her debut novel, A Good Woman, she explores the intoxicating themes of the rich behaving badly, and family secrets and lies.
Growing up, Gwyneth could reliably be found with her nose in a book or writing elaborately fictional ‘diaries’. Gwyneth went on to study English Literature at Cambridge followed by several years of modelling. Finally, she accepted that her desire to write wasn’t going anywhere and took an online beginners fiction course, where a one-word writing exercise ended up providing the inspiration for her first novel. A lover of fiction that explores family dynamics, our most intimate relationships and what happens when these go wrong, Gwyneth is fascinated by familial dysfunction and the secrets that live in all of us.
Gwyneth Archer was born in Newcastle, raised in Leeds and has spent adult life in London, where she currently lives with her husband and their three children.
